ABOUT LGBT MORAY
Set up in the early summer of 2010 with the help of Equality Network and Terrence Higgins Trust, LGBT Moray has evolved as a very informal social group.
Its aim from the outset was to provide a friendly social space to bring lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people together, to reduce isolation across Moray and beyond.
The group has met at various venues in Elgin and Forres with varying success. We now meet once a month at our popular LGBT breakfast get together where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of all ages come together for a chat, a cuppa or breakfast. Tim Saxon and Katie Quartly keep the group ticking over and have been running the group since 2010.
KATIE lives on the Moray coast and grew up in Elgin before she moved away to Edinburgh.
She is a photographer and loves walking her dog Staffa.
Katie founded LGBT Moray in 2010 and also recently formed the lesbian social group 'SHE'.
Our lovely friend Tim has now retired from his duties at LGBT Moray HQ. We thank him very much for his tireless efforts and hope that he will still pop in from time to time.
